Welcome
This past month has been a month of growth in our school. I have seen our attendance more than double. We have a lot of new faces in our school, and I would like to take this time to personally welcome the new students and there families into our studio's family.

New Students:
Lucian
Natilie
Nicole
Quentin
Brandi
Andrew

Up Coming Events:
We will be having a belt test next month. Belt tests are important to the student's progress. In advancing to the next rank, a student learns more material.
This month will be crucial to the students that wish to test. During this month the students will be evaluated constantly to determine who is eligible to test. The students will be graded on both "physical" martial arts, and "mental" martial arts. Mental martial arts means the attitude of the student.
By attitude, you must be mature, and display the tenents of the martial artist. These tenents make up the soul of martial arts, "The Creed of the Martial Artist"...... The students must be ready mentally to advance to the next rank even before they are physically ready.
The Creed of the martial artist, which is displayed to the right, is to be applied to everything that you do.

Tournaments
We have several tournaments coming up in the future. While tournaments are not our focus, we have always competed in them as an extra-curricular activity. Needless to say, we always bring home the "gold". Our students have always excelled at tournaments (when we participated), and I am sure that our new students will carry on our tradition.

(An Unconquerable Attitude)

As you begin your journey in martial arts, there are seven tenets that you should become familiar with and put into practice. These tenets make up the martial artist creed. A creed is the way you live your life. This is what we mean when we say martial arts are 90% mental, and 10% physical.

The Martial Artist Creed is the foundation and strength of all martial artists.
